Heal Navigator is a central reference point for people researching alternative cancer treatments. The site catalogues doctors, treatment centers, conditions and patient reviews so families looking outside conventional care have a place to start. Founder Adi Hertz built it after running into the same dead ends herself.

Cancer patients are usually working against the clock, and a slow reply is not really a reply at all. Adi and her small team were answering email when they could, but that left long stretches where someone in the middle of a hard decision had no one to talk to. The site needed a way to be present even when the team was asleep.
