We're seeking a highly motivated and strategic Product Strategy Lead to join our innovative software development firm. In this pivotal role, you'll take high-level direction from the CEO and lead the charge in bringing new product ideas to life. You'll be responsible for transforming conceptual ideas into detailed, actionable plans that align with the company's existing product ecosystem. The ideal candidate is a blend of strategic thinker and hands-on doer who thrives on competitor research, user-story development, and collaborating with design teams to build compelling product wireframes.
Key responsibilities
- Spearhead new product initiatives, working directly with the CEO to define product goals and vision.
- Conduct comprehensive competitor research to understand market dynamics, opportunities, and threats.
- Develop and refine detailed user stories that capture product functionality, UX, and business needs.
- Collaborate closely with design teams to create and iterate on wireframes and prototypes.
- Act as the primary communicator between leadership, design, and development teams.
- Ensure new product concepts fit within and enhance the existing product ecosystem.
- Regularly present progress reports, findings, and strategic recommendations to the CEO and stakeholders.
- Stay updated on industry trends, competitor strategies, and emerging technologies.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in product strategy, product management, or a similar role within a software development firm.
- Strong background in market research, competitive analysis, and user-story development.
- Excellent communication skills — turn abstract ideas into clear, structured documentation.
- Experience working closely with design teams on wireframing and product concepting.
- Ability to balance big-picture thinking with detailed execution planning.
- Proficiency in product management tools (Jira, Confluence) and design platforms (Figma, Sketch).
- Strong understanding of software development processes and product lifecycle management.
Preferred qualifications
- Experience in SaaS products or tech-driven industries.
- Familiarity with agile development methodologies.
- Proven track record of successfully bringing new products to market.
Compensation
Salary range: RM7,500 – RM13,000.
